Savoy is our celebration of the halcyon days of American and European design, when the greatest artistic minds of a generation took the classical elements and craftsmanship ideals of previous centuries and created new forms through the prism of Modernism. Savoy embraces the techniques of design icons like Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann and Andre Arbus-with a nod to the more minimalist movements that followed-while still evoking the glamour of furniture as pure fashion. The result is a signature collection of home furnishings that bask in a perspective best represented by New York's Chrysler building.
Savoy employs those craftsmanship ideals of the past, and is constructed of a variety of walnut veneers - from spectacular bursting crown patterns to straight grain ribbon cuts - and sustainable, plantation-grown gemelina solids. The stunning, nickel-plated hardware is constructed of solid brass, and shimmers against the highly polished, hand-rubbed lacquer finish. Drawers feature full extension, soft-close bearing glides.
Savoy was designed by Bloomingdales in collaboration with Curate Home Collection, and is available only at Bloomingdales worldwide.
